Nottingham-based Trent Valley Window & Door Company, a leading fabricator and installer of UPvC and aluminium windows, doors and conservatories, has been sold for an undisclosed sum to Eynsham Group Limited.
Trent Valley is Oxford-based Eynsham Group’s first bolt-on acquisition in pursuit of a buy and build strategy in the sector. Trent Valley, which employs over 55 staff and has a turnover of £10 million plus, will operate as an autonomous business within the Group with Tony O’Brien (46) continuing his role as managing director.
The deal has been led, structured and arranged by the Nottingham office of Clearwater Corporate Finance plc.
Trent Valley, which is based at a 22,000 square feet factory and showroom in Glaisdale Drive in Nottingham, is one of the region’s leading manufacturers and installers of UPvC aluminium windows, doors and conservatories. It operates in three market sectors; commercial (predominately refurbishment projects for local and education authorities), domestic and trade.
It has established a first class reputation for quality, service and value throughout the East Midlands and is well respected within the industry.
The company was founded in 1990 by David Casswell and Tony O’Brien. Whilst Tony O’Brien continues as managing director his co-founder, David Casswell will retire from the business.
O’Brien said the deal represents an excellent opportunity for the Eynsham Group “and one which will enable Trent Valley to continue to provide customers in its chosen markets with a first class product and service. We cherish the reputation we have built up over the years and remain committed to this key business objective going forward.”
Eynsham Group is based in Witney near Oxford and its main operating subsidiary, 3D Aluminium has been established over 25 years and was acquired by Eynhsam back in September 2001. It is a manufacturer and installer of aluminium windows and doors operating predominantly in the commercial market.
The Clearwater Corporate Finance team included director Rob Britton and partner Phil Burns.
Rob Britton for Clearwater commented; “This is an excellent deal for Trent Valley, its shareholders and Eynsham Group. Trent Valley has a strong market position in the East Midlands that will enable Eynsham, which already has a presence in commercial markets, to not only extend its geographic coverage but also the market segments it serves. This deal also provides an ideal solution to the shareholders respective exit strategies.”
Legal advisers to the vendors were Freethcartwright Solicitors in Nottingham, led by Philip Raven.
