Polaris acquires majority in Hamlet Protein

Polaris Equity has acquired the majority holding in Hamlet Protein as a part of future succession. Ole Andersen becomes the new chairman of the board as well as investor in the company. The remaining 49% of the company will be owned by the current owners, the management team and Ole Andersen.

Hamlet Protein has been searching for a partner as an investor in the company who can contribute to the strategic development of the company, which is the reason for selling the majority to Polaris Equity. Hamlet Protein will continue the development under same name and brand. No change in the current management team is expected.

Hamlet Protein was founded in 1992 and has from the start been developing and producing innovative vegetable protein products. As the first and only of its kind in the world Hamlet Protein A/S develops feeding in industrial biotechnology – and focusing on both the environmental and health care issue.
