Falck buys 80% of Dansk Hjemmepleje Service

As part of Falck’s strategic development the companyis entering the residential care area with the acquisition of Dansk HjemmePlejeService a company which has specialises in residential care services. This new business will be called Falck Hjemmepleje.

The founding Kessel family will retain the remaining 20% stake. Dansk HjemmePlejeService was the first company under the free choice system in Denmark. This scheme allows home recipients freedom to choose between getting aid delivered from a public center or from a private company.

Growth over the last 3-4 years and the impending municipal bidding rounds at full residential care for elderly and disabled, with additional activity in the area, mean the business can be prepared to tackle next phase of growth.
