Clearwater International Denmark has advised NST DK A/S, a niche player in the Danish market for electrical components and electro mechanics, on its sale to Lagercrantz Group.

NST is a Danish importer and distributor of temporary power distribution and lighting, selling to more than 1,000 trade customers – primarily to installation companies in the Danish market, and also to wholesalers and customers in the industrial sector. Since founder Niels Sørum established NST in the mid-1990s, the company has become a leading player in its niche, with its product assortment and day-to-day service delivery being key drivers behind its impressive profitability and success.

Listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Lagercrantz Group operates through 45 companies in four divisions: electronics, mechatronics, communications, and niche products. Today, Lagercrantz Group is active in nine countries in Northern Europe, China, India and the US. The group has approximately 1,300 employees and annual revenue of c.€320m.

The Clearwater International team consisted of Partner Andreas Lauth, Associate Director Mikkel Novod-Knudsen and Associate Louise Kamilla Normann.

“I would like to compliment Clearwater on doing an excellent job in supporting me through the sale process of NST. Selling a company, you have spent many years building is a very emotional process. Therefore, having a team of dedicated, hardworking, and loyal advisors that I truly came to trust, made a big for difference for me in some of the more stressful periods of the process. It was key for me to find the best possible new owner that could continue to grow NST. Throughout the process the team was focused on what was right for the business and ensured that we understood what was happening at every step of the way, enabling us to achieve a great result.”

NIELS SØRUM, OWNER AND FOUNDER, NST

“Initiating the process, Niels Sørum’s ambition was to identify a new owner of NST that could help take the company through its next growth phase. Now part of Largercrantz, NST will benefit from the group’s knowledge base and scale advantages going forward. The Clearwater team is very much looking forward to seeing what the future will bring for NST.”
