Clearwater International advises Sovereign Capital on investment in Nurse Plus

Nurse Plus, a provider of staffing solutions and homecare services, has received significant investment from Sovereign Capital in a deal advised by Clearwater International.

Established in 2005, Nurse Plus is a healthcare services provider specialising in homecare for the elderly, as well as providing complex care packages for full-time care and flexible staffing solutions for nursing homes, residential care homes and private hospital establishments.

Nurse Plus operates comprehensive induction and training programmes to ensure that its workers have the skills necessary to deliver consistently high-quality care. Staff have won numerous awards for their care services, including ‘Outstanding Contribution’ and ‘ Homecare Registered Manager’ at the Great British Care Awards.

Sovereign Capital will work with Nurse Plus’ experienced management team to expand the business in order to meet the increasing demand for its services.

Clearwater International advised Sovereign Capital on its investment. The team was led by partner Marcus Archer, with support from head of Healthcare Ramesh Jassal, director Karen Edwards and associate Richard Ellis.

“Many thanks to Clearwater International for their dedicated and timely support on this deal. Marcus, Karen and the team provided excellent advice and worked very hard to help us complete the secondary buyout: they managed key transactional issues and showed great commitment to getting the deal done. I look forward to working with Clearwater International again in the future.”

Jose Rodriguez, Director at Sovereign Capital

“Nurse Plus has achieved excellent growth since KCP’s investment in 2012. The secondary buyout backed by Sovereign Capital will enable the business to meet the increasing demand for high-quality homecare services and bespoke staffing solutions for establishments in the UK. Sovereign Capital has an excellent track record in the health and social care space, with previous experience in homecare services, having sold City & County Healthcare to Graphite Capital back in December 2013. Nurse Plus has been matched with the right partner to continue its growth strategy.”
