Clearwater International advises Homair Vacances shareholders on the sale to The Carlyle Group

Clearwater International has advised Homair Vacances shareholders on the sale to The Carlyle Group.

Montefiore Investment, a leading private equity firm specialising in French SMEs and operating in locally supplied services, is proud of the acquisition project of Eurocamp group by one of its portfolio companies, Homair Vacances. With Montefiore Investment active support, Homair Vacances has grown in a few years from a family company, led by its founder Daniel Guez, to a pan-European outdoor accommodation and holiday group, which has increased revenues from €17m to €180m on a proforma basis. Following this acquisition project, Homair Vacances announced it has entered into exclusive discussions with The Carlyle Group for a stake in Homair Vacances. If the project succeeds, a fund managed by Montefiore Investment intends to reinvest substantially alongside The Carlyle Group, with whom it has already partnered in B&B hotels, to develop the new group into a key international player.

Founded in 2005, Montefiore Investment is an independent investment company specialising in locally supplied services in France. The firm supports companies in their growth strategies by providing industrial and financial know-how to bring development operations to a successful conclusion. Based in Paris and managed by three partners, Eric Bismuth, Daniel Elalouf and Jean-Marc Espalioux, Montefiore Investment currently oversees a portfolio with a value of around €500m. Its investments include B&B Hôtels, Homair Vacances, Auto Escape, Demos and BVA.
