Handicare acquires Kjærulff in Denmark.With the takeover of the Kjærulff-group, Handicare establishes itself in the Danish market as well as strengthening its position in Scandinavia.

Kjærulff Rehabilitation develops and produces technical aids for elderly and disabled people and distributes its own products to USA and more than 10 different European countries.The two companies within the Kjærulff-group, Kjærulff Hjælpemidler and Kjærulff Rehabilitation, have during the past years had a very positive development. Strong focus on product development and strengthening of its product portfolio has contributed to this improvement.

Handicare has, in addition to companies in Norway, subsidiaries in Sweden and Germany and distributes its own products in 12 additional countries. With the takeover of Kjærulff, Handicare establishes its own setup in Denmark. This is an important country in its Scandinavian domestic market strategy. Handicare is aiming for further growth both in Scandinavia and Europe.

Handicare is owned by Ferd Private Equity Fund, an investment fund with NOK 2.0 billion in capital from 25 Norwegian and international investors.
