Sterry Communications Limited has been sold to AT Communications Plc, the AIM listed business-to-business communications provider, in a deal valued at over £8 million.
Sterry is a service led voice and data reseller. Its core activities are the supply, installation and maintenance of digital telephony systems and telecoms engineering work. In addition the company supplies a range of data and network products. Sterry was formed in 1991 following the merger between two telephone maintenance companies, Dial-a-Phone and CES. In 1995 the company was re-structured following a management buyout led by the current board of directors. Sterry has over 1,500 customers throughout the UK, including household names such as Lloyds-TSB and South Africa Airways.
ATC is a nationwide company listed on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange. They offer a comprehensive portfolio of voice, data, mobile and video solutions, specialising in IP technology, alongside design consultancy and bespoke levels of support to business customers.
This proposed acquisition will continue to provide customers with the same high levels of network across the UK. There will also be further benefits from additional services and Avaya, Nortel, Cisco and Ericsson accreditations with ATC’s.
