The Northamptonshire-based AIMS Group, which is a leading specialist consultancy covering the full range of health, safety, environmental and property related, technical compliance issues has been sold for £13 million to Alfred McAlpine plc.
Advised by TLG Corporate Finance plc, the AIMS Group underwent a £7.5 million “investment for growth” deal in March 2002, quickly followed by the acquisition of Willis Safety Solutions. TLG also advised on both of these deals.
The Group’s headquarters are in Towcester, Northamptonshire and it has offices in Peterborough, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey and Ayrshire.
With an £11 million turnover, the highly profitable consultancy employs over 180 staff. Managing director, Graham Brown and sales director, Rob Graham will be remaining with the business.
