Clearwater International is delighted to announce the return of the Cloudex Awards

Clearwater International is delighted to announce the return of the Cloudex Awards – a search for the UK’s top 20 independently-owned Cloud technology businesses.

Last year’s winner – innovative, cloud based HR management software and system provider Fairsail, recently completed a highly successful sale to Sage, multinational enterprise software company. The announcement came a few days after the group achieved impressive results in 2016 with revenues of £10m. Over the last three years, Fairsail gained 150,000 users across 20 countries.

Previous to this, 2015 saw UKCloud as Cloudex winner, Deloitte’s fastest growing IT communications company. Today the company has seen revenues rise to £32m, twice the figure from 2015. UKCloud looks to employ an additional 60 staff members this year.

The International Data Corporation sees the global cloud industry growing by a CAGR of 30.1% by 2020, 60% of IT spending going towards cloud solutions. Market drivers include: the need for modernisation and to replace obsolete technology; cost savings; and greater technology agility.

The Cloudex awards were first launched in 2013 to profile innovative and emerging players within the UK cloud industry. The awards are designed to highlight the top 20 independently-owned cloud technology companies in the country. Unlike other global business rankings, Cloudex is based on more than simply turnover or profit growth. Panel members will take into account other metrics including growth prospects, innovation and global competitiveness. If your business is growing and transforming your industry, then we really want to hear from you!
