Clearwater International has advised the shareholders of Groupe C2S on the disposal to Groupe Saint-Gatien of one of its clinics located in Bordeaux.
This transaction is in line with C2S’s regional refocusing choice. Indeed, Groupe C2S, backed by Bridgepoint since 2011, is one of the leading players in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne Franche-Comté regions. Recently advised by Clearwater International, the group reinforced its regional coverage by purchasing 4 clinics from Groupe Avenir Santé. Polyclinique Bordeaux-Tondu was its only establishment in the Gironde region. Groupe C2S, with a total revenue in 2016 of €160 millions, operates 11 medical care clinics totaling close to 1.300 beds.
This acquisition will allow Group Saint-Gatien to strengthen its strategic position in the region and to back the ambitious relocation of Polyclinique Bordeaux-Tondu in Floirac in 2019. Groupe Saint-Gatien operates 15 clinics in France and more specifically 3 in the Bordeaux area.
The Clearwater team was composed of Managing Partners, Philippe Guézenec and Benjamin Zayat and Associate Director, Aubert Simonnot.
Philippe Guézenec, Managing Partner, Clearwater International commented: “The disposal of Polyclinque Bordeaux-Tondu was based on the clinic’s project to relocate as part of the Bordeaux Euratlantique’s project. This transaction was Clearwater’s initiative and both the confidentiality and the length of the process were carried out in optimised conditions in a satisfactory manner for both parties.”
