Leading mid-market advisory firm Clearwater Corporate Finance has bolstered its debt advisory team with the appointment of David Burton as a Manager.
David joins the firm from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank, where he started work as an associate in the SME market in 2007. Since then he has worked his way up to being a manager in corporate banking, handling an active portfolio of corporate and leveraged customers.
In his new role at Clearwater, David will be working across the firm’s UK offices. He will offer support to Partners Chris Smith and Mark Taylor, advising clients that are looking to raise substantial amounts of debt capital or refinance existing facilities.
David said: “The current market means that high quality businesses can often struggle to find the right debt package.
“The knowledge gained from my banking background will help to ensure that clients have access to more sophisticated and specialised debt finance to suit their needs.”
Chris Smith, Partner in Clearwater Corporate Finance’s London office and joint head of the debt advisory team, said: “David will be a great addition to the debt advisory team. His up to date knowledge of the banking environment will be invaluable and we look forward to having him on board at Clearwater”.
