Clearwater International has advised PubLove on its new venture with Ei Managed Investments, the Ei Group business which invests alongside industry-leading managed house operators.
London-based PubLove, the pub company that combines boutique hostels with historic pubs, will operate across five sites, four of which are already leased from the Ei Group.
Established in 2007 by Ben Stackhouse, PubLove’s mission is to safeguard a pub’s future by diversifying and modernising its offer without losing its unique character and soul. ‘Burger Craft’ kitchens and an excellent range of London-focussed drinks complete the transformation of the pubs into neighbourhood treasures and hubs of the community.
With the support of Ei Managed Investments, PubLove has ambitious expansion plans. In addition, sites including the White Ferry House in Victoria and the Crown in Battersea will be significantly refurbished later this year.
Clearwater International advised PubLove on the venture, led by Partner Chris Smith.
Ben Stackhouse, Founder and CEO, PubLove, said: “Having worked closely with Ei Group for many years, we’re delighted to be partnering with its Managed Investments business. With its experience and access to a strong pipeline of new sites, this is a great opportunity for PubLove as we look to expand.”
Nathan Wall, Operations Director, Ei Managed Investments, added: “PubLove is an exciting proposition with its focus on establishing sustainable community pubs. We’re delighted to be part of its expansion and we look forward to a successful working relationship with Ben and his team.”
Chris Smith, Partner, Clearwater International commented: “The two businesses have a strong existing relationship and with Ei’s support, PubLove has a great opportunity to develop and implement its model across the London area. We’re pleased to have advised PubLove on the future development of the company and its projects in the community.”
