Lindø Steel has acquired assets and activities from Odense Steel Shipyard and established in Lindø Industrial Park.Lindø Steel is owned by the Danish private equity fund IndustriUdvikling and the management team of Lindø Steel, Søren Kirkebæk and Per Hauge.
Lindø Steel has acquired the assets and activities related to the cutting center of the closed shipping yard and established with more than 11,000 m2 of indoor production halls and 15,500 m2 outdoor storage facilities with direct access to the quays. Customers are primarily the major players in the wind energy sector, based on deliveries of plates for the wind turbine tower and monopiles production in Northern Europe. It is Lindø Steel’s objective to create success through competitive prices combined with a high level of security of supply and quality. Lindø Steel thus aims to serve its customers among others Vestas and Siemens through a close and constructive cooperation. By establishing the new company jobs are retained at the old Odense Steel Shipyard, and its clear objective is to create more permanent jobs over the coming years.
