Clearwater Corporate Finance, the largest, independent corporate finance house in the UK, is on the move in Manchester.
The new offices are at Sovereign House on Queen Street off Manchester’s well known Deansgate, in the heart of the city’s busy financial and business district.
“Since our own Management Buy-Out earlier this year, we recognised that Clearwater needed to establish its own identity in the financial heart of Manchester,” says partner Mike Reeves. “But since March our team has been so busy with a number of big deals, it has taken some time to find the right premises.”
Clearwater’s Manchester team has 15 people with four partners based full time in the Manchester office. 15 major deals have been completed since its MBO at the end of March with a value of over £130 million.
Deals include the MBO of Remainders – the UK’s largest discount book retailer which trades as The Works, Banana Bookshop and the Book Depot, the sale of Tulchan Group – which trades as Jumpers and Sock Shop, the £12.5 million MBO of Oldham’s Concept Cycling Ltd and the sale of Durham’s Seaham Harbour Dock Company.
