Five members of Clearwater Corporate Finance’s Manchester team are training to take part in this year’s Bupa Great Manchester Run, which takes place on 16th May.
The Clearwater team, which has set a £1000 fund raising target, will compete for leading children’s charity, CLIC Sargeant, which offers cancer suffers and their families support before, during and after treatment for the disease.
2010 will be the fourth year that Clearwater has entered a team in the ten-kilometre event, having previously raised over £4,500 for the NSPCC and cancer support charity, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
In 2009, the Clearwater team came first in the Corporate Challenge category and are hoping to replicate that form this year. The Clearwater team comprises partners, Mike Reeves and Carl Houghton; members of the deal origination team, Louise Dytham and James Hales, and analyst, Emma Leathley.
Mike Reeves, partner at Clearwater in Manchester, said: “We’re delighted to be taking part in the event, which is always great fun and gives us the opportunity to raise money for a very worthy cause. As usual, the Manchester weather has hampered our rigorous training regime, so we’ve been focused on raising as much money as possible for CLIC Sargeant. We really appreciate everyone’s support, and all donations will help to make a difference to children and their families affected by cancer.”
