Clearwater International has advised the owners of the Danish design company by Lassen ApS (by Lassen), on its sale to Buurskov & Lassen Maskinfabrik ApS, the main manufacturer of by Lassen products. Buurskov & Lassen Maskinfabrik is owned by Søren Lassen, who is also co-owner of by Lassen.
by Lassen develops and sells high quality accessories and furniture, and the product portfolio includes by Lassen’s own designs and numerous iconic pieces such as Kubus (candle holder) and The Tired Man (easy chair) designed by the acknowledged architect brothers Mogens and Flemming Lassen. Under the management of Peter Østerberg and Nadia Lassen, by Lassen has experienced significant growth and has a presence in 38 countries – Scandinavia and Germany being the core markets. by Lassen has based its success on a combination of award-winning designs, good craftsmanship, and has achieved impressive growth driven by international expansion, as well as successful product launches.
