Marcus joins from KPMG in London, where he was a director in the firm’s corporate finance team. He specialises in providing corporate finance advice to private equity houses and both public and private companies with a focus on the support services sector. He also has experience as a nominated advisor, helping companies to float on the Alternative Investment Market.
Marcus began his career with Kidsons Impey in Brighton in 1994, joining KPMG in Southampton three years later before moving to the firm’s London office to set up the support services team in 1999. He is a chartered accountant and a member of the Securities Institute.
Marc Gillespie, partner at Clearwater in London, said: “Marcus has an excellent track record for bringing people together and originating deals, and for his skills as an advisor in getting them off the ground. He also has good contacts within the private equity community.
